What a fuckin' blinder!!!! Started off in the Tottenham boozer where me n Jess met Tosh (Business) for a beer and a rabbit,Daz (Nag) and Murph who'd been in London since 6 in the morning after comin out of a night club in Leicester friday night and just jumpin' on the train,the huge fella from West Ham,cant remember his name but a right nice bloke and Stephen from G&R LONDON record label,another top geezer,bang into his football and rejects! Into the venue for Gal Bushell and his Gonads,we were treated to some old skool classics like oi mate and grant mitchell aswell as the newer stuff off the kings of street punk comp valhallabaloo etc, a cracking set from the beardster!!!! Then we bumped into old skool Baby Squaddies Coalville Daz n mrs,Teabag and little Andy for more beers,rabbit and fotos. Another band from G&R's roster then took to the stage,The Secret Members, the only stuff i've heard from these was off the G&R site so i didn't know what to expect!!! Well,i shouldn't have worried cos they were top! All excellent musicians and a frontman with swagger and attitude,reminded me of a punkier version of the Small Faces,the single 'sunshine' really stood out and the crowd was well into it,look out for these fellas! A quick trip to the merch stall where i met Stephen again to purchase the new dvd and the obligatory t-shirt,iv'e lost count of rejects t-shirts i own now!!! Back downstairs for the main event,the atmosphere was buzzing and the crowd well up for it as the mighty rejects burst onto the stage like a battering ram, im not a fool, flares and slippers,east end and police car interspersed with new tracks from unforgiven and classics from the power and the glory got the audience bouncing,football related tracks' we are the firm' 'west side boys' and 'war on the terraces' got the old hooligans smiling,90% of who were West Ham's I.C.F,me,coalville and teabag changed the west ham lyrics for leicester city as we sang along(quietly) ha ha. An appearance from Millwalls firm threatened to spoil the night or make the night depending on which way you looked at it,a small off was quickly taken outside and developed into a big off according to reports,west ham v Millwank,i stayed in the gig so i can't comment any further except to say it was crawling with the mets finest when we got out afterwards.Despite all that the boys treated all of us to a blistering set finishing of course with 'bubbles' that got even jeff and mickys 76 year old mum up and at it! Fuckin' brilliant night! Met the boys round the back for fotos and hearty handshakes and a promise to see 'em in Blackpool! Roll on summer ha ha. Massive thanx to Stephen G&R and the Rejects for a great night.Trav.

Would've fcuking loved it, shame things like that doesn't happen every weekend  Oh well, hope that stinkin pikey lot got properly done by our lads then, can always take pleasure in that even if you missed the night out lol |

dunno where everyone's getting the idea it was the fucking pikeys  ........Me,Tel, Milky, Hoxton Tom, Wellsy & a good few others were waiting outside with the lads who got a slap so they could point them out, but then 1 of the fella's on the door told us they slipped off in a bit of hurry in waiting cars, ...& we all know it was for another reason.........so thats straight from the horses mouth..........fucking pikeys, dont make me laugh, they wouldn't hav had the bollox ta show up, specially with the firm we had there on Saturday. so come....stop listening ta idiol gossip, what i said is what happened  & afterwards we slipped off round the Angel for a couple more beers & a bit more  .......  ....typical old firm night out  Would've fcuking loved it, shame things like that doesn't happen every weekend Oh well, hope that stinkin pikey lot got properly done by our lads then, can always take pleasure in that even if you missed the night out lol |

I was up the front at the Rejects when some little scrot decides to use me as a step ladder to do his body surfing, being none too pleased as the cnut was crawling all over my back, when he fell I stood on his head. The little fecker took umbridge for some reason and gets up and cracks me one on the chin, for which he gets one in return, the bouncer gets in the middle and all is broken up .......end of story, no footie relation there at all. In my day (When I were a lad) we never had that body surfing bollox and I guess the lad who was younger than meself thought it was acceptable as I spose its what all the twenty somethings do today. Outside I did speak to Milky but told him I didnt need east londons finest to sort things out, I was big and ugly enough to sort out me own messes .......not that I wasnt greatful mind. Anyways it was done and dusted as far as I was concerned and all I wanted was beer .......so we finished off a top night as said in the Angel. Kev |
