Best so far
Scally is the best hooligan book I have read so far (Soul Crew Blades Hoolifan Frotline etc,,) I personely cant be sure about the truth of his mob sizes but he doesnt go on about 500 vs 500 every page and we done 100 of them 10 handed. Great humour and a fairly honest account keeps you interested!
THE TRUTH AT LAST
After reading every hoolie book to hit the shelves at last one who's author admits he has taken a few slaps and a backward step in his time.
Not for the faint hearted, Nicholls deals with the lot from the blades to the Racists and ducks no issues.
His honesty gets him banned from Goodison Park for life, not such a bad thing and a football banning order to boot.
Covers the 70,s 80,s with honesty that is backed up with newspapers pictures etc and from then on police files on himself prove he was a main player, unlike many of the authors who have written 10th hand stories to make a few bob.
We all have our own versions about numbers etc but this lad gets it just about right. As an Arsenal fan it did not make pleasent reading at times but anyone in the know will admit that when it counted the blue half of the Mersey were up there with the best football crews in the land.
Laugh a page cut short with an act of violence that sometimes makes you shudder.
Buy it if you knew or want to know what it was like.
Leave it where it is if you are a wannabe Burberry hat hoolie!

Well maybe not but wildly exagerrated it certainly is. The bits I can verify he is at least x 3 if not x 4
out in his estimations of mob size. I also had to laugh at his matter of fact reciting of slashings
with a shrug of a shoulder that folk should take it as part of being in a firm then him calling a Liverpool fan a sh1tehouse for attempting to do the
same to him. Hypocrite. No wonder Scousers (although he's Welsh
but doesn't seem to be very proud of that fact) are universally
hated as being sly and unscrupulous..
As for the defence of racism. Some of my best friends
are black...enough said. The Asian lad as well as having 'that character defect' was a Cockney to boot. :-(
Slagging Man United for taking on allcomers such as Hibs and Oldham when they turn up at Everton on occasion as well.
