Customer Reviews: Honest At last - someone has written a first hand account of involvment. It is funny, witty, and sharply observant of the good and bad points (!) of "hooliganism". At least by reading this, you will realise the depth of passion involved in being a "hard-core" follower. I'm neither condoning nor condemning the acts, but at least now I understand. These are normal people six days out of five - probably more balanced than a lot of people in society? And dare I say it, I have seen some of the incidents, and always felt pride when "our lads" came out on top. Makes a change from the "press" and "authority's" views on the subject. Excellent read OK, Hull might not be the most fashionable club in the country but this is certainly one of the best, most honest and genuinely funny hooligan books available. For once the author dosen't portray himself or Hull's followers as an all-conquering army, refreshing and highly recommended. Interesting history of Hull hooligans As a mad Hull City fan its hard to find many books on the club- when will keith Edwards write his autobiography ?- This details the history of Hull City hooligans over the last 30 years. The main crticism is its repetitive as most battles sound the same despite involving different clubs fans. Yes i can remember a lot of the clashes re-counted as an observer but for a genuine fan craving insight to the club its not for you. But for anyone intrigued as to how City's element started and continued its a must. Credit to Shaun for writing it after all Hull City have still to set the football world alight.
