entertaining read
This book is certainly fast moving and a good read, and i rekon it does give an insight into the hooligan world. However, it did leave me wondering how accurate it is, and how much of it has been exaggerated, as it seems as though Cardiff win every fight in the book, which is slightly strange when some situations are outlined as 10 cardiff against 50. Despite this, i think both authors have written with a dergree of humor and it is well worth a read.
A Must Read cunt muct like them!!! ;D
I picked up this book thinking that it would just be about fighting. How wrong I was. It is a brilliant insight into the minds of two ex-hooligans, telling of the whole culture of football club "firms" and their behaviour, based around Cardiff City's "Soul Crew". The tales of travelling the country (sometimes abroad) to fight against rival "firms" kept me rooted in this book. I just could not put this book down and I read it in less than a day. If you have a passing interest in football (or maybe if you dont), I would recommend this to anyone. It is superbly written, and above all, extremely fascinating.
An in-depth view of football hooliganism
A true description of football hooliganism, by a member of the Cardiff city soul crew. An in depth diary of the goings on in a gang and how they operate. The book goes on to describe how and when the meetings with other gang would occur, and how the gangs operate with militant order the key to a well-rounded gang. Overall a good read for football fans to see how the clubs of Britain operate in the hooligan world. Also a good idea for people who want to understand the going on in football today.
